Many women experience a cycle or pattern of abuse in their relationship. Not all women have this experience but it is quite common.
The cycle of abuse may speed up during the course of a relationship. The manipulation stage may become smaller and the things that the abuser does to maintain hope may disappear. The abuse will likely become more extreme - Violence Escalates.
